Mistral’s Le Chat is beginning to show what truly useful AI can look like. One of its more practical additions is a feature called Connections.
Connections are links between Le Chat and external data sources. These might be your email, calendar or other personal accounts. Instead of simply answering questions, Le Chat can now act on your behalf and will be drafting emails, checking appointments or scheduling meetings. The assistant becomes not just context-aware but also task-capable.
With Connections, automations start to feel more personal and helpful. You can trigger workflows such as:
- Creating a meeting from a conversation
- Summarising unread emails
- Checking for calendar conflicts
- Fetching specific messages or data without switching apps
This turns Le Chat from a chat assistant into a more integrated part of your digital routine. It is a quiet but important step towards more practical, less theatrical AI.
